Elon Musk has many critics about his techniques on how he runs his businesses and employees but what is not in doubt is that his leadership style has been successful. With multiple companies under his belt, including Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company, and soon-to-join Twitter, and staff strength in hundreds of thousands, Musk is definitely getting lots of things right with his leadership.
What makes Musk’s leadership so effective? We will consider several of them below.
Innovation
Musk advises business leaders looking up to him not to follow trends blindly. As the leader of an organization, it is essential to see beyond the present realities to usher in what is new. Thanks to his innovative leadership, Musk has disrupted multiple industries, including the auto, space, transportation, and machine-human interface.
Musk Inspires People
When you have a workforce where the buck stops on your table, it is important to be able to inspire them to do more instead of being complacent at their current level.
As people who worked with Musk can testify, it could be demanding to keep up with him, but it gave them a solid foundation for their careers because his drive and ambition rubbed off on them. Many of them have been inspired to start their own companies and solve real problems.

Musk Acts Fast
While some of Musk’s impulsive actions have landed him in hot water several times, his fast action has proven invaluable to his companies. It is important to act fast in the ever-changing economic landscape.
Great Ambitions
As a leader, you must not be afraid or shy to be ambitious. This may involve huge risks sometimes, but such bets often yield the largest rewards and change the world.

Musk is not afraid to dream big. He is known to set aggressive goals for himself and his staff. For example, he set out to build a completely reusable rocket even though the space industry was complacent with one-time-use rockets. Musk is also trying to set up a permanent colony of more than a million people on Mars!
Musk Does Not Spare Himself
You can set an excellent example as a leader with your work ethic and Musk does exactly that. Musk is known to put in long hours at work, even going as far as sleeping on the factory floor to show his employees that he will always be the hardest working among them, which should inspire everybody working with him to stretch themselves.
