Even as a billionaire, you are not spared the heartbreak that sometimes plagues people involved in romance. Such has been the case with Elon Musk, whose relationship with his musician girlfriend, Grimes, recently came to an end.

Musk and Grimes were first linked in May 2018 when they made a debut at the Met Gala. The two had Canadian heritage in common and have a 17-year age gap between them.
Two years later, the relationship produced a baby named X Æ A-Xii Musk.
Now, the relationship has hit the rocks, with the “long-distance” between the couple cited as the reason. According to Musk, “It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas, and her work is primarily in LA.”
SpaceX has been keeping Musk busy as the space company tries to get its Starship ready for NASA’s mission to the moon and also expand Starlink’s coverage.
Grimes has been busy as well, filming a new singing show called Alter Ego in which she is a judge. According to her, the birth of her son reactivated her artistic senses, which she is ready to explore.

The last time the pair was seen together was coincidentally at the Met Gala, although they had arrived separately.
The two remain on friendly terms as they co-parent their son. He describes their relationship as semi-separated. The three all live together.
Grimes joked about their separation, quipping she would be colonizing Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, for the lesbian space commune, while Musk is famously off fulfilling his dream of colonizing Mars.
Musk had several relationships before Grimes, including a marriage to Justine Wilson, with whom he has five sons. Their first son died as an infant. He was twice married to actress Talulah Riley and dated Amber Head.
