The Cybertruck, Tesla’s upcoming electric pickup truck, is a vehicle you either like or dislike based on its appearance. Looking like something straight out of a movie set in 2056 Mars, it is destined to have both fans and haters. However, what is not debatable is the performance of the steel monster.

What does the Cybertruck have going for it?
Cost
Tesla already set the prices for the Cybertruck, which you can order right now on its website. You pay $100 to book the Single Motor RWD for $39,900, the Dual Motor AWD for $49,900, or the Tri-Motor AWD for $69,900. However, you can’t complete the configuration until later in the year.Battery & Range
Info about the battery size is not available to the public. However, Tesla advertises the Single Motor RWD to last 250 miles on a single charge, while the Dual Motor AWD will last 300 miles. The Tri-Motor AWD stretches to 500 miles before you deplete the battery. All range estimates are from the EPA.Whichever trim you choose, you get a truck that can literally go the distance.
Electric Motor & Performance
Once again, details about the electric motor Tesla is using are scarce. However, they are capable ones. As you can deduce from the name of the trims, the Cybertruck comes in a single, dual, or triple motor configuration. The lowest trim bursts from 0 to 60 mph in under 6.5 seconds, while the middle trim takes about 4.5 seconds. The highest trim manages the same acceleration in under 2.9 seconds. While these are bragging fodder, they are not going to affect your day-to-day experience with these beasts in any appreciable way.Tesla is positioning the Cybertruck as a powerhouse, even from the aggressive styling. You will be able to tow up to an unbelievable 14,000 pound load with the top trim.
The total payload capacity is 3,500 pounds, something workmen with different tools will appreciate. They will also be able to tap into the battery to power those tools.

Interior & Infotainment
Based on the photos of the interior shared by Tesla, the Cybertruck takes the minimalism Tesla is known for to another level. The dashboard is completely bare, save for the driving yoke and the massive 17-inch center touchscreen. However, the final product may be different. There is comfortable seating for six people, thanks to the wider-than-normal width of the truck. The styling of the seats matches the external look of the truck.
One of the selling points of the Cybertruck is storage. There are 100 cubic feet of lockable space, including the vault-like bed, under bed where you can store away the spare tire and ‘frunk.’ You can store more stuff under the back seat as well.
Exterior
Tesla is touting the steel body construction of the Cybertruck and the armored glass of the windows. Both are supposed to enhance your safety and prevent dents, damages, and corrosion. The Competition
Electric pickup trucks are hard to come by; however, by the time the Cybertruck is ready, other manufacturers would probably be done with their trucks. Notable challengers are Rivian’s R1T, Ford’s F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV, Lordstown Endurance, etc.Tesla claims the Cybertruck is very versatile and powerful. Many people seem to agree, as the unofficial tally of pre-orders is over a million.
