Neuralink, is a lesser-known Elon Musk company that's creating the future of brain-computer interfaces: building devices that could help people with paralysis and inventing new technologies that could expand humans' abilities, the community and the world.
There are no doubts that Elon pushes his employees and companies hard to achieve greatness. With all the Twitter firings and news of employees sleeping on the floor, he has little patience for lack of progress.
But there reaches a point where there is needed compassion and patience when dealing with employees and progress. Sure, employees take advantage of companies, and this does seem the case for Twitter.
The recent news with Neuralink if true is disturbing and wrong. Complaints about CEO Musk pressuring employees to accelerate development, resulting in botched experiments and increasing the number of animals being tested and killed.
Neuralink faced allegations of animal abuse in the past. In February 2022, an animal-rights group accused the company's researchers of subjecting monkeys to "extreme suffering" while testing brain implants.
Elon Musk is definitely a revolutionary thinker even though I can't envision some of his ideas really every coming to fruition.
I will be cheering for him, for Tesla, for Boring, for SpaceX and the great work to have true Free Speech at Twitter.
